Tee off in the Mountains
Morzine and les Gets are great places to base yourself if you are looking for a golfing holiday in the Alps, due to the great selection of golf courses in the area.
Les Gets has a fantastic 18 hole golf course situated on the Chavannes Ridge with superb views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountain ranges. The course was built in 1999 and is open in the summer months. The par 70 course climbs from 1300-1600 metres, but is very accessible due to the new fleet of electric buggies.
There is also a 9 hole golf course located on the Super Morzine plateau on the edge of Avoriaz. Nestled amongst the winter ski slopes, atop the cliffs of Avoriaz, this makes for a course with spectacular views.

For those wanting to travel further afield, the Evian Resort Golf Club is just a 30 minute drive from Morzine. Every September, it hosts The Evian Championships, which is the only Major to be held in Continental Europe. This course fit for champions comes with stunning views over Lake Geneva. It is one of the most beautiful courses in France.
