The Pass’Portes du Soleil is a not to be missed event for mountain bikers, which opens the summer season each year.  You can discover the amazing terrain and scenery of the area on the 80km circuit using 15 lifts.  The event takes a whole day to ride and can be done on either the Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  And forget all your preconceptions of race feed stations with just some brown banana, dried apricots, and energy drink. There are 8 different food stops along the route, where you’ll find the likes of hog roast, BBQs, tartiflette and chocolate fondue… mmm.

In addition to the Trek, there are other events going on over the weekend:

  • e-Pass’Portes – e-bikes are really taking off in the area, so for the 2nd year there will be a special course specifically for e-bikes.  There are 2 charging stations available also.
  • Kids Pass’Portes – on the Saturday and Sunday there is an easier version of the Trek for 9-14 year olds.
  • Night Ride – on Friday 29 June there is a 2 hour night ride starting from the Pleney, with a guide.
  • Pass’Portes Walking Tour – for those not wishing to ride, there is 3-4 hour trek taking in amazing scenery, a couple of stops to taste local products and a lunch break at one of the feeding stations.
